Avid Trails builds flow trail at Oskar Blues REEB Ranch

The Avid Trails team was recently tapped to build the first segment of an intermediate to advanced flow / jump line at Oskar Blues REEB Ranch in Hendersonville, NC. As you probably know REEB Ranch was founded in 2014 by the good people at Oskar Blues Brewery, who also founded REEB Cycles in 2011. The ranch sits on a gorgeous property in Hendersonville complete with Airstreams, apartments and a cabin for lodging. DuPont State Forest is right in its backyard and Pisgah National Forest is only a short ride away for all the incredible riding you can cram into your trip. And the Oskar Blues brewery is nearby for post-ride beers, too.

REEB Ranch kicked things off in 2014 with Red Bull Dreamline and has since hosted all sorts of races, festivals and events to bring the biking community together. It also features an awesome dual slalom course and pump track, along with a few jump lines to work on your skills. The place is just rad.

As a group of people who really like mountain bikes and beer, and what the company is doing for mountain biking, we were pretty psyched to get a chance to dig at the Ranch. The task was to add some more features and flow to the place, and we think we hit the nail on the head. The trail features three table tops, some few doubles, a few advanced options and a couple of really fun step downs. It’s short and sweet for now, but we’re aiming to build some more when the ranch crew is ready. We hope you’ll make the trip this Spring and let us know what you think.

Finally, a big shout-out to Andrew of Cane Creek Cycling Components for pulling the whole thing together, laying out the trail and being a terrific host. Thanks a ton, Andrew.
